Before & After Care

Your dream brows deserve a little extra love before and after your appointment. Following these simple care tips will help ensure your results heal beautifully, last longer, and keep that fresh, flawless look you've been wishing for.

Top Things to Remember: Before and After Care

Before Care

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24-48 hours before your appointment.

  • Avoid blood thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc) for 24 hours before your appointment.

  • NO facials, chemical peels, or retinoids 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • No use of products with AHA, BHA, or retinol 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid botox or fillers for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

After Care

  • During the first 7-10 days, keep your brows dry. Avoid getting your brows wet, including with direct water, steam, and sweat.

  • Apply aftercare ointment once a day/as recommended to keep the brows moisturized.

  • Avoid scratching, rubbing, or picking at your brows until they are fully healed. Let the flakes naturally fall off to avoid pigment loss or scarring.

  • Avoid facial treatments, peels, or lasers near the brow area during the healing process.

Stages of Brow Healing

Your new brows will go through a few completely normal phases as the skin heals. Colour will look bold at first, then soften, and the skin may get a little dry or flaky before everything settles. Full healing takes approximately 4-6 weeks, revealing your true,  fully healed colour.

Stages of Brow Healing: Best Practices

🪄 Day 1-2 — The Awakening of the Brows

  • Colour appears darker and sharper than expected (up to 30-40%)

Care:

  • Blot away the “magic dew” (lymph fluid) every hour with a clean tissue.

  • Do not let water touch them—keep them dry.

  • Avoid sweating and makeup.

🪄 Days 3-5 — Drying Out

  • Brows feel tight; light scabbing or flaking begins

  • Strokes and shape can appear thicker.

Care:

  • Avoid direct contact with water.

  • Gently cleanse once daily if instructed by your artist, using only the gentlest potion (fragrance-free cleanser). Pat dry—never rub.

  • Apply a whisper-thin layer of the enchanted healing balm your brow artist gave you. More is not better; brows must breathe.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel the flakes.

🪄 Days 6-10 — The Sacred Protection Period

  • Flakes lift; brows may look patchy or too light in some areas. This is normal!

Care:

  • Hands off!

  • Continue to gently cleanse once daily if instructed by your artist, using only the gentlest potion (fragrance-free cleanser). Pat dry—never rub.

  • Avoid creams/acids in the brow area.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel the flakes.

🪄 Days 7–14 — The Fading Illusion

  • The brows may seem pale, "too light", or patchy—fear not! This is the camouflage stage.

Care:

  • Still avoid intense heat, moisture, or exfoliation. (No tanning, saunas or swimming).

🪄 3-4 Weeks Later — The Colour Returns

  • Pigment resurfaces and evens out.

  • Texture feels normal again.

Care:

  • Resume regular skin care routine, but protect with SPF to prevent fading.

🪄 6 Weeks Later — The Healed Result

  • True colour and shape are visible.

  • Book a touch-up service to perfect any light or uneven ares, if applicable.

🪄 6–10 Weeks Later — The Touch-Up

  • Return for your second spell-casting (touch-up) to lock in the magic for years.

🪄 Eternal Brow Charm (After Fully Healed)

  • Shield with SPF to protect from the fading sun sprites.

  • Keep acids and retinoids far from the enchanted zone.

  • Refresh the magic every 1–2 years.
